Outback

We lived in Australia for 3 years,

and explored this amazing country almost every day.

We think it’s one of the greatest places in the world…

the beauty, food, and especially…the people.

The Outback is one of the best trips we’ve ever taken in our lives..

we hope you will explore it too.

Most Adventurous way to Explore:  If you follow this blog, you will know that my husband and I like unconventional and adventurous.  We can stay at a 5 star resort or glamping and enjoy them both the same.  Our Trip: We flew into Ayers Rock, then up to Darwin and drove across the Outback in a 4 wheel drive camper to Broome. It was the most amazing experience and highly recommend.

Best Hotel: El Questro, right in the middle of the Outback in the Kimberley region, is heaven here on Earth with beauty, relaxation and adventure awaiting. It’s a true escape from the rest of the world and gives you a glimpse of what the Garden of Eden may have been like in the beginning of time.  Spectacular.

Most Fascinating Culture: It’s hard to visit the Outback without exploring the Aboriginal culture. They are gorgeous people and the Australians have worked hard to preserve their culture. We loved this part of our journey, and came home with art which will be with us forever.

Tips & Tricks: If you spend any time on the Gibb River Road in the Outback, plan out your fuel stops and buy water whenever it’s available. Almost all stations are owned by the aboriginals and are well stocked, but it’s few and far between. Be in a protected area at sunset due to the flies…trust me.
