NYC
We lived in NYC for 3 years,
and as much as we travel around the globe,
we believe it’s one of the best cities in the world.
We are so blessed to have it right here in the US!!
Best Way to Spend the Day: Levain Bakery is home of the best chocolate chip cookies in the world (yes, the world)…and it may not sound intriguing, but we promise, it’s amazing. Stop by here to grab a cookie and walk over to Central Park. It’s a place where you can wander for hours, soak in the sights and enjoy. If it’s raining, head over to the American Museum of Natural History…an amazing 4 block long museum full of treasures and sights.
Broadway Shows: One of the highlights of NYC are all of the amazing shows on (& off!) Broadway. If there’s a show you really want to see, it’s best to secure the ideal tickets before you arrive. But if you’re able to be spontaneous, TKTS provides up to 50% off same day tickets, with convenient locations and mobile apps to make the process easy. If you’re daring, you can show up to the actual theatre box office a few hours ahead for deep discounts.
A Different side of NYC: NYC is one of the largest cities in the world; therefore, shopping, eating & drinking at some of the best restaurants in the world is endless amounts of adventure. For a different view of the city and a different pace, Hudson River Park starts at the Statue of Liberty to the George Washington Bridge and beyond to bike, or walk along sidewalk cafes, kayaking and hours of exploring.
Tips & Tricks: NYC is constantly changing on the newest, hip restaurants, hotels boutique shops and places to visit, so NYMAG.com or the publication once you arrive, is an amazing resource! [We stick to the Critics Choice on all selections.] Subway is the best way to travel, and itransNYC is a great mobile app to navigate.
